Wet-Moulded and Hand-Stitched Sheath for Havalon
Wet-Formed and Hand-Stitched Sheath for Havalon
This sheath for the Havalon knife with interchangeable blades is a solid and durable alternative to the original canvas sheath from the manufacturer. The sheath is 100% handmade from heavy 6–7 oz / 2.4–2.8 mm vegetable-tanned saddle leather, where the front has been wet-formed and air-dried for over 24 hours.
The design was created because the original snap-button closure mechanism would often pop open when users wore it in thick brush, for example in Canada. Therefore, I have developed this traditional loop closure, which is impossible to open by accident. At the same time, the leather is very thick and highly resilient. It has been tested under demanding conditions.
The sheath is wet-formed and constructed over a period of 3 days. It is hand-stitched, and if you take good care of it, it will last for generations.
